Boosting your immune system is a term thrown around a lot lately. Newsflash: there’s no easy fix that gives you instant results when it comes to making your body and mind healthier. Developing a healthy immune system takes consistency and perseverance after forming and sticking to healthy habits.
Wellness habits are daily behaviors that involve the mind, body, and spirit, and keep them working synergistically to improve and maintain health. A common wellness habit that we all learned to do from an early age is brushing our teeth.

We’ve created this helpful guide to help you kickstart your path towards developing a healthy immune system. Here are the healthy habits you should start working on immediately.

Dry Skin Brushing
The first habit starts at the beginning of your day—dry skin brushing before your daily morning shower. Before you step in the shower, use a natural bristle brush to brush your exposed skin. Start in small circles from the soles of your feet and work your way up towards the heart to stimulate and promote blood circulation. Avoid brushing on your face or any tender or inflamed areas.

Drink a Cup of Herbal Tea Daily
Contrary to what many people seem to promote, herbs aren’t magical wellness panacea. However, that doesn’t mean they aren’t effective in promoting a healthier mind and body. They are best used as a preventative tool, and your immune system is the ultimate precautionary measure. Adding a cup of herbal tea to your day is a powerful way to help maintain a healthy immune system.

Inhale Essential Oils Everyday
The stress of the global pandemic is a collective experience. It permeates every household. One way to deal with this and help promote a healthy immune system is through aromatherapy. Studies have shown that aromatherapy is effective in helping reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Linalool, an ingredient in many essential oils, has been demonstrated to reduce memory loss and behavioral impairment.

Deeply inhale essential oils on a daily basis to manage your stress and help promote your body’s immune system. Consider setting up a relaxing bath by applying essential oil blends to your bathwater, or to your hand or foot soak.
